What local bag brands sell, at what price, in which colours, and how they advertise.
All figures as of October 2026
Local bag brands in Egypt each sell inside one price lane. Across five Egyptian bag brands selling online, 15 to 27 October 2026, the median brand took 76% of its sales value from a single EGP 500 wide band, and the band differs by brand. The median price per unit sold was about EGP 850. The middle brand sold an estimated EGP 75,000 to EGP 100,000 a day online. Black sold most at 3 of 5 brands.
Executive summary
Five brands, five lanes, almost no overlap.
Finding 01
Across five Egyptian bag and accessories brands selling on their own websites, the middle brand sold an estimated EGP 75,000 to EGP 100,000 a day online between 15 and 27 October 2026, net of returns. In units, the middle brand sold roughly 125 to 280 pieces a day.
The figure is a range because one of the five brands shows stock on only part of its range, so its true sales are at least what is visible. Shop sales, marketplace sales and orders taken by message are not included. Five brands are a slice of the category, not the market, so read this as the scale of an established local bag brand online.
Finding 02
The median price per unit sold across five Egyptian bag brands was about EGP 850 between 15 and 27 October 2026. The middle half of brands sold their average unit for between EGP 600 and EGP 1,150. Across 8 brands, the median listed price was about EGP 900, with the middle half between EGP 600 and EGP 1,350.
These are local brands, most of them selling bags with small leather goods and accessories alongside. International labels sold in Egypt sit far above this range and are not part of these figures. For the fashion shelf around them, see what fashion costs in Egypt.

Finding 03
At 3 of 5 Egyptian bag brands, the average unit sold between 15 and 27 October 2026 was priced above the brand's own median listing. Across all five, the median brand sold its average unit at 1.12 times its median listed price, with the middle half between 0.98 and 1.19.
Put simply, the bag that sells is usually not the cheapest thing a brand lists. Cheaper items fill out a range, but the hero pieces carry the sales. A brand that cuts prices across the range to win orders may be discounting the products that were already selling.
Finding 04
Each of the five brands took most of its sales value from a single EGP 500 wide price band between 15 and 27 October 2026. For the median brand that band carried 76% of sales value, and for the middle half between 76% and 85%.
The lanes do not overlap much. Two brands sold mostly between EGP 500 and 999, and one each under EGP 500, between EGP 1,000 and 1,499, and at EGP 1,500 and over. Local bag brands are not fighting over one price point. Each has a lane its shoppers expect.
Finding 05
Black was the top colour at 3 of 5 Egyptian bag brands between 8 and 27 October 2026. Among units sold with a named colour, the median brand sold 18% in black, and the middle half between 18% and 33%. Brown came next at a median 16%, then red and burgundy at 9%.
Pale colours sold little in October: beige and cream took a median 3% and white 1%. That is a single autumn month, so expect lighter colours to gain in spring and summer.
Finding 06
The median brand of five added stock 3.5 to 6.5 times a week between 8 and 27 October 2026, counting a top-up as three or more units added at once. The median top-up was about 160 units, with the middle half between 150 and 165.
Ranges differ far more than restocks. Across 9 brands, the median lists about 180 products, while the middle half runs from 35 to 255. At 5 of 9 brands each colour is listed as its own product, so a range of 35 can be a handful of designs in several colours.
Finding 07
On 28 October 2026, the median brand of 10 ran 16 active Meta ads in Egypt, with the middle half between 8 and 52. Across the 8 brands with enough ads to judge, video appeared in a median 60% of ads and an offer in only 15%.
The median active ad was 36 days old. At 2 of 8 brands, half or more of the ads looked at had run for 90 days or more, which usually means an ad that keeps paying its way is left alone. On Instagram the median brand had about 157,000 followers and posted 1 reel a week.
| Measure | Median brand | Middle half | Brands |
|---|---|---|---|
| Active Meta ads | 16 | 8 to 52 | 10 |
| Ads with video | 60% | 45% to 70% | 8 |
| Ads naming an offer | 15% | 0% to 20% | 8 |
| Age of active ads | 36 days | 9 to 81 days | 8 |
| Instagram followers | 157,000 | 79,000 to 221,000 | 10 |
| Reels in a week | 1 | 0 to 1 | 10 |
What it means
Pick a lane and price inside it. The median brand takes 76% of its sales from one EGP 500 band, and its shoppers buy above its median listing, so the range around the hero pieces matters more than the cheapest entry item. Hold stock depth in black and brown first.
Lead ads with the pieces that sell, not the cheapest in the range. Video carries most bag ads, and offers are rare, so a clear product and price can stand out. When an ad has run for 90 days and still sells, leave it running and test beside it rather than replacing it.
